Gearing up for a 'Supa time

Well time has flown the last couple of weeks, it is just a few days before Supanova Sydney!

Word on the street is that Bolt Comics will be launching Bolt Comics Presents #7  at Supanova Sydney this weekend (June 17 & 18 2023).

Bolt Comics Presents #7 should contain part two of 'The Castle'. We get introduced to a some new characters and it's a dang fun ride.

I love that the general's first speech bubble was not in the script that I was given, it just felt like that was exactly what he would say...I have no idea where the 'pronto' bit came from but it just sells it to me and seems totally in character for a general.

I also continue my trademark of getting one of the characters to speak the name of the story as part of the dialogue. This started all the way back in A Brigand's Tale #1 and I love to squeeze it in to the story wherever possible.

To go on a tangent, I am discovering (or is that re-discovering) that one of the fun things about making comics is these little things where the characters kind of write their own words. I feel like they just say, "Hey Dan, by the way, I'm just gonna say this right there..." and I'm like, " Sounds great, count me in!".

In what is sure to be my only con attendance this year, I will be hanging with the Bolt Comics Team at their booth (Booth 4027) on Saturday the 17th June. Swing by and say g'day if you're going, and definitely pick up Bolt Comics Presents #7, there's a ton of other stories in the book almost as good as The Castle!

I will also be bringing some original art pieces to sell and will be offering to do some lame batman sketches for those who appreciate that sort of thing...
