2024? I tried this.. launched that... let's get updated!

Yo yo yo, it's your boy Danny!

The last half of 2024 really whizzed by huh?

Not gonna lie, life really got in the way this year.

Long story short I didn't get much done, but here's a snapshot.

I went to Supanova and got some new subscribers - so hi to my new readers, apologies for the radio silence!

I started the next chapter of A Brigand's Tale, titled The Maw.

Here's the first few pages as a teaser:

It's been nice taking control of everything from the drawing to colours, and letters, but it takes ages when you don't delegate any of it.

I got stuck in an art rut by being burned out at work, and then having to work a second job to make ends meet, so I tried to get back in the swing with Inktober! Of course I wanted to get some digital inking skills to get faster to improve my art practice and productivity.

Introducing...Das Regen Vogel - The Rainbird

The story actually formed out of a wierd dream I had one night and just could not shake the idea so decided to run with it. Rainbird is also inspired by one of the most Bad-ass characters in any Dungeons and Dragons campaigns I've ever played - the mighty Warbird. Warbird was this barbarian bird man who literally swooped in and saved the day, smashing enemies with throwing axes akimbo!

I must admit, Rainbird is pretty dark, (spoilers - the namesake is because whenever he turns up, it starts to rain blood).

Anyway here's as far as I got.

So that's how far I actually got in October before the aforementioned burnout flared up again, about 5 days.

Never fear, just to make something that doesn't take years to get out into the world - like comic books - I also launched my first Youtube music video.

Whats hittin right now?

My good pal John Hanna has released this rad book Hovercar racer, which is a graphic novelisation of the Matthew Reilly book. I know John was under some big deadlin pressure wqith this but this thing still managed to clock ina t 260 pages!! Double World - I think this movie is on Netflix? This is a fun movie with a good concept and average CGI. The CGI somehow adds to the enjoyment. Once again go in cold and enjoy the show...
